Independent guidance for product and intelligence teams replacing underperforming data providers or sourcing new ones. A decade of signing these contracts, on your side of the table.
What you are building, what the data has to do, what success looks like in production, and what the economics have to be. Most sourcing mistakes happen here, before any provider enters the picture.
We run your requirements against Sourced, Mulberry's live record of 40+ providers across 441 data sources. How each one collects, what they actually reach, and what their terms allow. No provider sales cycles triggered at this stage.
Structured evaluation with KeyKit, run on your own trial key, against your use case rather than general assumptions. Fit, Partial Fit or No Fit, with the trade-offs named.
Partners build it and you contract them directly. We help you judge whether it did what it needed to.
Sources tested against your requirements, on your own trial key, with the gaps named.
Fields that are populated, timestamps that mean what they say, and behaviour under real volume rather than in a demo.
Overlapping sources, tiers you have outgrown, and volume you are paying for and not touching. We map what you buy against what you need.
Fit, Partial Fit or No Fit against your own requirements, with the trade-offs named, in writing.
A social intelligence platform was expanding coverage into twenty countries across nine platforms. Sub hour latency, non English content, country level geo, and pull based delivery only. A $500,000 annual data budget, and no clear view of who could actually serve it.
We mapped the viable providers platform by platform, modelled pricing against their real monthly volumes including credit models and tiers, then ran managed evaluations on seven shortlisted providers against their own requirements, on their own trial keys. Each came back Fit, Partial Fit or No Fit, with the trade-offs named. The market moved underneath the engagement: one candidate was acquired and stopped being available standalone, which is exactly the kind of thing a live evaluation catches and a desk review does not.
The recommended stack met every requirement at roughly $190,000 a year, leaving over $300,000 available for the next wave of expansion.
Mulberry provides a far better value than the major consulting firms at a very competitive price. They don't just run a few quick tests and dump it in a spreadsheet, but conduct a thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis that helps us discover our strong and weak points.

One conversation. No pitch. We will tell you whether Mulberry can help and what that looks like before any engagement begins.
